Our commitment

At Buzz, we’re building a workplace where everyone feels they truly belong.
Inclusion isn’t just a phrase here. It’s a vital part of our business strategy. Creating an inclusive colleague experience is at the heart of what we do. We know that a diverse workforce fuels innovation, and that the best work happens when we can show up as our authentic selves, quirks and all. That’s why we’re focused on creating a culture where everyone feels safe, respected and supported.

What we’re doing

One key step in our journey has been launching four colleague-led inclusion groups.

These groups create space for honest conversation, shared experiences and real influence – helping us to understand what we can do better to make life at Buzz more inclusive for all. This is just the beginning of our journey but it’s a meaningful and necessary step.

We’re in the early stages of developing a robust Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy that will guide how we grow into a truly inclusive business – where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Meet our groups

Our colleague-led inclusions groups are a key part of our EDIB work – created and led by our people, for our people. They aim to:

  • Create safe spaces for open discussions and provide mutual support.
  • Celebrate diversity and raise awareness of key issues affecting different communities.
  • Drive change by working with leadership to make sure that everything we do enhances inclusivity.

We want to create an inclusive business where women truly belong and can be themselves. A safe place for connection, learning and sharing, where lasting bonds are made and women uplift each other to shine brighter together.

Barrier Free Buzz

We want Buzz to become a disability confident employer so that everyone understands there is a place for them at Buzz with or without chronic mental/physical disability.

Buzzing Worldwide

Our vision is to create an inclusive, diverse and thriving workplace environment. We want all our colleagues irrespective of their culture and background to have a voice, feel empowered and have a sense of belonging.

We envision a Buzz-wide community where everyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression are safe, valued, represented, included and equal.

We’re really proud of what our inclusion groups have already accomplished in such a short time. Some early wins include:

  • Shaping internal policies to embed more inclusive practices across the business to better support the diverse needs of our colleagues
  • Encouraging Buzz to sponsor Nottingham Pride, reflecting our support for the LGBTQIA+ community right here in our local area
  • Hosting our very first Neurodiversity Celebration Week – amplifying the voices of neurodivergent colleagues right across the business
  • Introducing the option for colleagues to display their pronouns on name badges – encouraging everyone to show up as their authentic selves

These early actions reflect the passion and commitment of our people. They’re small steps toward a bigger goal.
