We know that interviews can be a pretty daunting thing, so we’re sharing some top tips from our Recruitment team to help you prepare and make the most of your interview with us.

What to expect

at a club interview

We love meeting new people, and for us the face to face interview is a critical part of the process.

It’s a chance for you to meet some of the team including a member of the Management team, have a look around the Club and ask as many questions as you like.

When you come for an interview at one of our Clubs it gives you the opportunity to find out if it’s the sort of place you’d like to work  – somewhere we hope you’ll soon feel like you belong.

We’ll ask you for some examples from your previous work roles as well as encouraging you to showcase your own personality whilst you are telling us your stories.

Top Tips for making the most of your interview:

Relax!

Our first round interviews are a chance for us to get to know you a bit – they are more like informal conversations than interviews.
So relax, and be your brilliant self.

Do some research

A good place to start is having a look into our Values. They are really important to us, and we base our questions around them. There is more info on what they are and what they mean to us here – so it’s definitely worth having a look before the interview.

Be curious

Think ahead about a few questions you’d like to ask about us as a business, what the role includes day-to-day, and how the team work together. We love questions – it shows you’re interested (and it keeps us on our toes!)

Be upfront about
your availability

We know everyone has life to fit in around work and we can be flexible, but it’s crucial that we know what you can and can’t do on a regular basis.

Be prepared

Go over your work history before the interview so you can talk it through confidently.

Ask for clarification

If you’re not sure about the question, just ask us to explain what we mean. It’s always fine to ask!

Select a quiet place

For telephone interviews, make sure you can take them in a quiet, calm environment.

Plan ahead

For in-person interviews, make sure you check public transport options if you don’t drive. Our Clubs open late, and you’ll need to make your own way home safely.

Pay us a visit!

If you get a chance, pop in to one of our Clubs to find out what it’s like, and what we’re all about. It’s a great way to understand a bit more about us and our teams.

A helpful way of thinking about answering interview questions is using a technique known as the Star Method. You can use the STAR method to plan your answers to interview questions.
